The person-centered approach to individual counseling
Person-Centered Therapy focuses on the immediate situation though by no means disregarding
or ignoring the past. The person-centred approach views the clients as their own best
authority on their own experience.
Specializing in children, adolescents and their families
I specialize in helping families address problems and learn the skills for resolving conflict
once they leave my office. In session, I include at times the parents only, at times the child
or children only, and at other times everyone together. Using techniques from family systems
thinking, psychodynamic play therapy, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives, my approach is
based on the Integrative Model.
