American counseling in the hills of Budapest
Welcome! I am happy to speak with you with no obligation to make an appointment. Clients consult with me to improve personal relationships, address anxiety and mood disturbances, as well as for the treatment of other problems. For the past ten years I've worked with individual adults, parents and children from diverse geographic and cultural backgrounds in the United States and Hungary. My evening hours make it possible for clients to schedule appointments without the added stress of taking time off work or taking children out of school early, and I am available for appointments on Sundays.
The person-centered approach to individual counseling
Person-Centered Therapy focuses on the immediate situation though by no means disregarding or ignoring the past. The person-centred approach views the clients as their own best authority on their own experience.
Specializing in children, adolescents and their families
I specialize in helping families address problems and learn the skills for resolving conflict once they leave my office. In session, I include at times the parents only, at times the child or children only, and at other times everyone together. Using techniques from family systems thinking, psychodynamic play therapy, and cognitive-behavioral perspectives, my approach is based on the Integrative Model.
